Fixing a Leaky Oil Pressure Relief Valve

I spent some time this past weekend fixing an oil leak around my Oil Pressure Relief Valve. It's a huge flat plug on the rear driver side of the engine block.

This is a pain to get off with a normal screw driver. Just not enough leverage. I ended up buying a socketed large flat head to put on the end of my breaker bar and it loosened right up.

Right tool for the job I suppose.

After that, I cleaned it up, put the correct washer in place and put some Loctite 565 on it to seal it up.

The video is my first foray into recording these little jobs. I'm pretty happy with it. You can watch it above or you can go to Vimeo.com and watch it in HD there.

Let me know what you think.

Good quality video. We (at my VW shop) enjoyed watching it.
