Presents from Previous Bus Owner

So, I picked up the new bus today and handed over the rest of the cash.

In the back of the bus, the guy had thrown in a bunch of "old stuff" he had in his garage...

Here's a picture:



In the picture you'll see:

• A ton of body rubber (bus and beetle)
• 2 starters
• 2  Eberspaecher BN4 Gas Heaters!!!

Holy crap did I hit the goldmine. The bus has no heat right now at all... and the heat in these buses really isn't anything to speak of. The BN4 heaters are in really AWESOME shape. I've got a lot of reading to do. I'll need to take them apart and make sure everything is kosher before hooking them up to gas and heating the bus.

Successfully drove the bus home. It's parked out back! Need to make some room for it. 

Here's what needs to be done:

• I hate the Scat Shifter that's in it. It's not long enough, shifts really funky and that's enough reasons. 
• The brakes need to be done. It takes a ton of pushing to stop that bus. a ton.
• Speedometer and gas gauge do not work. 
• The Radio doesn't work. It's original though. Never seen one. I might be able to get it to work. 
• Suspension is crap.
