Creamy Yellow Bus Spotted

This past summer (2010) we were driving around doing I-don't-know-what on a Saturday or Sunday and found this Creamy Yellow Westy on a trailer in a cul-de-sac near Downers Grove. So, like we do with any old VW we see, we swooped in for a closer look.


The cul-de-sac and my camera phone provided almost a bullet-time set for taking pictures of the bus.

From the front, it's a late 70's Westfalia. I didn't climb up on the trailer to see what the condition of the interior was but I would bet it's rough with woven rugs or head-shop tapestries laid over the seats to give them a sense of a better appearance.

Don't read this wrong. I LOVED this bus. It's awesome. Excellent aged color and I love the customizations that the owners have done. The rainbow bumper is awesome. Everything about the bus says people had really enjoyed it and made it part of the family.
